2 Years of DJ’s Delight

I just realized I started this little hobby of mine exactly 2 years ago today, with pretty boring posts on Atmosfear, Sade and local producers. It took one week and a post on an ancient mix of mine to generate any traffic, though.

I want to thank all of my regular visitors and subscribers for hanging on so long. This has been a lot of fun, taught me a lot about music and opened some doors too so let’s keep it going.

Two celebrate these 2 years, here’s 2 versions of my favorite weird old school classic. Area Code 615’s harmonica jam from 1970 is pretty well known, but the mid-80’s Italian bootleg remix incorporating the You’ll Like It Too break is kind of obscure I guess. As weird as the groove is, it seems it always appealed to a lot of different DJ’s, maybe it’s time someone recycled it again.

awesome, stone fox chase is that seventies hillbilly raw that always justifies at least two minutes of play. I haven’t played this in a minute. my cover has the tweetie bird on it- I remember there being that in the know italo version on teh wall around these parts too.

    Sampo,

I remember having some Remix of Stone Fox Chase as well on ZYX label. Band was Icareus or something (record is somewhere in attic right now so I cannot check). Is this the same song or other?

And congrats for the two years! Haven“t missed a post.

The very first record that I ever played, on my very first trip to Helsinki, was Stone Fox Chase (@ the Lifesavers anniversary party.)
